The Susan Young Memorial Scholarship
The Susan Young Memorial Scholarship is dedicated to empowering resilient students pursuing degrees in special education. By supporting this scholarship, you are helping to continue Susan’s legacy of compassion, dedication, and excellence in education.
Susan Young earned her master’s degree in special education at The College of New Jersey and devoted her career to teaching at Christa McAuliffe Middle School and Jackson Memorial High School. She built positive, trusting relationships with her students and families, making a difference in countless lives. Susan passed away peacefully after fighting complications from pancreatic cancer, but her legacy lives on through this scholarship.
Strength in Resilience
The Oxx Foundation created the Strength in Resilience Scholarship to support graduating seniors who have overcome challenges, demonstrated leadership, and shown a commitment to serving their community.
This scholarship encourages students pursuing careers in health, education, or business leadership to carry resilience forward into their future.
