Strength in Resilience
Scholarship Overview
The Oxx Foundation created the Strength in Resilience Scholarship to support graduating high school seniors who have faced adversity, demonstrated perseverance and leadership, and shown a commitment to serving their community. This scholarship honors students who carry resilience forward as they pursue meaningful careers that positively impact others.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
Be a graduating high school senior
Plan to enroll in an accredited college, university, or post-secondary program
Demonstrate resilience in the face of personal, academic, or life challenges
Show leadership, service, or community involvement
Intend to pursue a course of study in one of the following areas:
Health-Related Fields (nursing, medicine, occupational/physical therapy, speech-language pathology, public health, etc.)
Education & Human Services (education, special education, social work, psychology, counseling, etc.)
Business & Leadership (business administration, nonprofit management, entrepreneurship, marketing, finance, etc.)
Application Requirements
A complete application must include:
Completed Scholarship Application Form
Essay Submission (500–750 words)
Essay Prompt:
Resilience is the ability to adapt, grow, and move forward through challenges.
Describe a challenge you have faced and how it shaped your character, leadership, or desire to serve others. How do you plan to carry this resilience into your future education and career path?One Letter of Recommendation
From a teacher, school counselor, coach, employer, or community leader
Selection Criteria
Applications will be evaluated based on:
Demonstrated resilience and personal growth
Leadership and community involvement
Clarity of educational and career goals
Alignment with The Oxx Foundation’s mission
Thoughtfulness and authenticity of the essay
